7 Best CardPointers Alternatives for Tracking Card Credits (2026)
CardPointers is $90/yr and never reads your transactions, so it can't tell you a credit was already used. Seven alternatives compared on price, platforms, and automatic credit detection.
We make OfferBee, which is on this list. We have tried to be specific about where the other apps beat us, because a comparison that finds every competitor worthless is not worth reading. Everything below was checked against each app's live site on 2026-09-08. Prices change, so verify before you buy.

Why people look for a CardPointers alternative
Almost every reason lands in one of four buckets, and which bucket you're in decides the whole answer.
1. The $90 renewal just posted. CardPointers+ is $90/yr. That is not unreasonable for what it does, but it is a real number, and it comes due whether or not you opened the app that quarter.
2. The free tier is one card of each type. CardPointers' free plan limits you to a single card of each type. If you carry an Amex Platinum and an Amex Gold, free CardPointers is not a wallet, it is a preview.
3. It can't tell you a credit was used. This is the big one, and it is a design consequence rather than a bug. CardPointers deliberately does not take your bank logins. Its own homepage advertises adding issuer offers "without sharing your logins or any purchase history." No transaction data means no way to know your $15 Uber Cash posted on the 8th. You have to remember, and remembering is the thing that failed.
4. You want the picture on Android. CardPointers' AutoPilot lock-screen feature is described for iPhone and iPad.
Bucket 3 is worth sitting with. Category tools split into two philosophies: offer optimisers (which card to swipe, which offers to add) and credit trackers (did you actually use the $200 airline fee credit you paid for). CardPointers is the best-known tool in the first category. Most people searching for an alternative have discovered they needed the second one.
What CardPointers is genuinely good at
Skip this section and you'll make a worse decision.
- No bank credentials, ever. In a category where nearly everything else routes through Plaid or stores issuer logins, CardPointers adding offers across six issuers without either is a real engineering achievement and a real privacy position. If "I'm not giving an app my bank login" is a hard line for you, CardPointers and Pointer AI are the two serious options and the rest of this list is irrelevant.
- AutoPilot. Location-aware best-card suggestions on the lock screen, plus nearby stores. Fewer taps than any competitor's flow.
- Breadth of offer coverage. Amex, Chase, Bank of America, Citi, Wells Fargo and US Bank in one sweep.
- Maturity. It has been iterated on for years. Offer expiry reminders, snoozing, customisable dashboard, browser extension. The long tail is filled in.
If the above describes your problem, stop reading and keep your subscription.
The alternatives
1. OfferBee: automatic credit detection, on both platforms
What it does best. OfferBee connects through Plaid, reads the transactions on your cards, and marks a statement credit used when the charge that satisfies it posts. It reminds you before a credit resets rather than after it's gone, and at each annual-fee renewal it gives a fee-vs-value verdict from what you actually captured that year.
Platforms. iOS and Android. This is the practical difference from most of this list: CardStack, WalletFlo and Pointer AI are iOS-only.
Bank connection. Plaid, and it's optional; you can add cards and track credits by hand without connecting anything.
Price. $9.99/mo or $80/yr, with a 14-day trial that doesn't ask for a card. After the trial, manual credit tracking on cards already in your wallet stays free forever: logging a credit used, clearing a period, backfilling a past month. What Pro buys is the automation: Plaid sync, the best-card engine, and Bee, the assistant that answers questions about your own wallet and spending. Those are the offerbee.ai prices; subscribing through the App Store instead is $12.99/mo or $104.99/yr. The app shows both side by side and marks the cheaper one.
Best for. Someone with two to six premium cards who is losing money to credits that reset on a cycle they can't hold in their head, especially on Android, where the options thin out fast.
Limitations. It is the youngest app here; CardPointers has years of polish we don't. We have no browser extension, so we don't touch online-checkout flows the way Kudos does. We don't bulk-activate issuer offers. CardPointers and MaxRewards both beat us there, and if offer activation is your main job, they are the better buy. And the automatic detection that makes OfferBee useful requires connecting a bank; if you won't, most of what you'd pay for is switched off.
2. CardStack: the closest thing to CardPointers-plus-credit-tracking
What it does best. Automatic credit detection from statement transactions, plus an effective-annual-fee calculation that tells you whether a card is earning its keep after credits. Its notifications are the right ones: credit available, credit expiring in three days, credit auto-marked used, annual fee just posted.
Platforms. iOS only. Their own comparison table says so. Safari and Chrome extensions handle Amex and Chase offer activation.
Price. Free to download, and the free tier covers adding cards and tracking credits manually. CardStack+ is $12.99/mo or $89.99/yr after a 7-day trial.
Best for. iPhone users who want credit tracking and offer activation in one app and don't mind paying near CardPointers' price for it.
Limitations. No Android. Catalog is 100+ cards, which is narrower than the issuer breadth CardPointers covers for offers.
3. MaxRewards: the offer-activation specialist
What it does best. Automatically activating Amex Offers, Chase Offers and Discover Deals in the background instead of you scrolling and tapping "add" thirty times a month. This is the feature it is known for and it works.
Platforms. iOS and Android, the broadest cross-platform coverage on this list alongside OfferBee and AwardWallet.
Price. Free tier available. MaxRewards Gold is reported at $4.99/mo or $39.99/yr; we
could not verify that first-party (maxrewards.com/pricing returns a 404 as of
2026-09-08), so check in-app before subscribing.
Best for. Anyone whose real leak is unactivated issuer offers rather than unused credits, and who wants that on Android.
Limitations. Credit tracking is limited; it does not automatically detect credit usage or compute an effective annual fee. Auto-activation requires bank login credentials, which is precisely the thing CardPointers refuses to ask for.
4. Pointer AI: the best free tier, no bank login
What it does best. Tells you the best card at a given store, with no bank connection of any kind; you add cards by name. Its free tier is unusually generous: unlimited cards, a full perks tracker, weekly store searches.
Platforms. iOS. Android is a waitlist as of 2026-09-08.
Price. Free; Premium is $4.99/mo for unlimited store searches, sale forecasts and transfer-partner optimisation.
Best for. The CardPointers user who liked the no-bank-login philosophy but doesn't want to pay $90/yr for it.
Limitations. No bank connection is a feature and a ceiling. Without transaction data it cannot confirm a credit was used any more than CardPointers can. iOS only.
5. WalletFlo: sign-up bonuses and annual-fee decisions
What it does best. Tracking sign-up bonus progress and deadlines, and prompting the keep-or-cancel decision before an annual fee posts, with retention scripts.
Platforms. iOS.
Price. This is the thing to know: the free tier is limited to one linked card, and Pro is $100 for the first year, then $230/yr. There is also a "Pro, on us" path: a free year if you apply for an eligible premium card through the app and are approved, which is worth understanding as what it is: the app is compensated for the referral.
Best for. Churners running multiple applications a year, for whom one missed bonus dwarfs the subscription.
Limitations. $230/yr is roughly 2.5× CardPointers and 2.9× OfferBee's annual price. A one-card free tier isn't a wallet.
6. Kudos: best card at online checkout
What it does best. A Chrome extension that surfaces the best card at online checkout, with offers and cashback stacking. Nothing to install on your phone.
Platforms. Chrome extension. No mobile app.
Price. Free core; Kudos Premium is an optional upgrade.
Best for. People whose spending is mostly online and who want zero apps.
Limitations. Browser-only means no in-store help, which is where credits usually get missed. No credit tracking. Kudos' own site is JavaScript-rendered and returned almost no readable text to us; these claims are from third-party sources, so verify in the extension.
7. AwardWallet: a different job entirely
What it does best. Loyalty balances across airlines, hotels and bank programs in one place, with expiration reminders for points and elite status.
Platforms. Web, iOS, Android.
Price. Free tier; AwardWallet Plus is paid. Published figures conflict between sources ($30/yr and $50/yr), so check awardwallet.com directly.
Best for. People with points scattered across a dozen programs.
Limitations. It doesn't answer "which card do I swipe here" and it doesn't track statement credits. It is a companion to something on this list, not a replacement for CardPointers.

How to choose
Four rules, in order:
- If you won't connect a bank, the list is two apps long. CardPointers or Pointer AI. Pointer AI is cheaper and has a better free tier; CardPointers has deeper offer coverage and AutoPilot. Nothing else on this list gives you its main value without transaction access.
- If your leak is offers, stay put or move to MaxRewards. Bulk activation is a real, measurable saving, and CardPointers already does it well without your logins.
- If your leak is credits, you need transaction data. OfferBee or CardStack. Pick OfferBee if you're on Android or want the assistant; pick CardStack if you're on iOS and want offer activation in the same app.
- If you're on Android and want credit tracking, the field is small. CardStack is iOS-only, WalletFlo is iOS-only, Pointer AI is iOS-first. That leaves OfferBee and, for partial coverage, MaxRewards.
The honest summary: CardPointers is not a bad product and most people leaving it are not leaving because it failed. They're leaving because they bought a tool for question one and discovered their money was going out the door on question two.
Prices in the tables above are each app's cheapest available annual price. For OfferBee that is the offerbee.ai rail ($80/yr); the App Store rail is $104.99/yr and the app presents both.
