Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Offerbee Labs LLC, doing business as OfferBee (“OfferBee”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the OfferBee application and our website at offerbee.ai, together with any related products and services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.
The short version: OfferBee helps you track statement credits, benefits, and annual-fee value across your credit cards. OfferBee does not collect your full credit card number, and OfferBee does not sell your personal information.Location features are optional: OfferBee only accesses your device’s location if you grant permission, and you can turn it off at any time.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and account credentials when you register; the credit cards you choose to add or track; the credits and benefits you mark as used; and any messages or Feedback you send us.
Card and transaction information
To surface the perks on your cards and estimate the value you’ve captured, we process information about the cards you add and, where you choose to connect an account through a third-party provider, limited transaction and benefit data associated with those accounts. We do not collect or store your full credit card number. Account connections are made through Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”), our account-aggregation provider: your bank credentials are entered with Plaid and handled by Plaid under its own security practices, and are never received or stored by OfferBee. See Section 9 for details.
Location information
With your permission, we collect your device’s precise location (GPS coordinates) to power OfferBee’s location features. Location access is optional — the app asks for permission before using it, core features work without it, and you can withdraw permission at any time in your device settings.
- While you are using the app (When-In-Use permission), we use your current location to show stores near you where your cards have unused credits or offers, to recommend the best card to use at places around you, and to display your approximate street address on those screens.
- In the background(Always permission) — only if you separately turn on nearby alerts in Settings — the app registers geofences around a small number of stores relevant to your cards and detects when you spend time at a location, so it can notify you that you are near a store where you have an unused credit or somewhere your cards earn extra rewards. You can turn these alerts (and the background permission behind them) off at any time.
- Muted places. If you designate places where you never want location alerts (for example, home or work), we store the coordinates and label you provide so we can suppress alerts there.
We use your location only for the features above — we never sell your location data or share it for advertising. Location coordinates are sent to the mapping services described in Section 9 solely to look up nearby places and addresses, and the limited location records we store are short-lived, as described in Section 4.
Information we collect automatically
When you use the Service, we automatically collect certain information, including device and app identifiers, log data, IP address, browser type, pages or screens viewed, and usage patterns. We use cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 6.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- surface the credits and benefits on your cards, track what you’ve used, send reminders before credits reset, and estimate fee-versus-value;
- where you grant location permission, show nearby stores where your credits and offers apply, recommend the best card to use around you, and — if you enable nearby alerts — notify you when you’re near a store where you have an unused credit;
- create and manage your Account and process any Subscriptions;
- communicate with you, including about updates, security alerts, and support requests;
- personalize your experience and develop new features and analytics;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity, and protect the rights, property, and safety of OfferBee and others; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
We process your information based on your consent, our contract with you, our legitimate business interests, and our legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. With vendors and partners who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, account aggregation, payment processing, analytics, email delivery, and the artificial intelligence services that power transaction matching and the in-app assistant, under obligations of confidentiality. Section 9 names each provider and what it receives.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of OfferBee, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, or in the event of insolvency.
- With your consent. When you direct us to share your information or otherwise consent to the sharing.
OfferBee does not sell your personal information and does not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing without your consent.
4. Data Retention
Retention periods vary by data type. We keep each category of information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected or as required by law, and we apply these periods automatically wherever technically feasible:
- Account connection tokens and financial data.Plaid access tokens and item identifiers are deleted — and Plaid’s /item/removeendpoint is called — within 7 days of you disconnecting an institution or closing your Account. Account and transaction data retrieved through Plaid is deleted within 30 days of disconnection or Account closure.
- Account records and your card and benefit tracking data. Retained for the life of your Account and deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request or Account closure.
- Location data. Location fixes used for nearby searches and recommendations are processed transiently and are not kept as a location history. Records of detected stops used for nearby alerts expire automatically after 30 days. Muted places you create are retained until you remove them or your Account is deleted.
- Application and access logs (including IP addresses and device identifiers). Expire automatically after 90 days.
- Support and correspondence records. Retained for 24 months from the last interaction.
- Billing and subscription records. Retained for 7 years to satisfy tax and accounting obligations, and excluded from deletion requests to the extent required by law.
- Backups and snapshots. Expire on a rolling 30-day cycle; deleted records persist in backups only until the containing backup expires.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or irreversibly de-identify it. You may request deletion of your Account and associated data at any time by contacting contact@offerbee.ai or as described in Section 7. Full detail, including our disposal methods, is published in our Data Retention & Disposal Policy.
